University College Birmingham is a university in Birmingham, England. It was awarded full University status in 2012 along with Newman University.The university is located in central Birmingham and offers both vocational and academic education at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. The university specialises in the areas of hospitality and the culinary arts, hairdressing and beauty, tourism, business enterprise, marketing, business management, accounting, finance, events management, sports management, sports medicine, sports therapy and Early Years education.

English language requirements
In order to undertake a programme of study here at the University, you will need to demonstrate that a suitable level of English proficiency. You can demonstrate your level of English with IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or alternative qualifications. The sections below will tell you what grades you need in these qualifications for the subject area you want to study. Please note that English tests/qualifications normally need to have been taken within two years of the start date of your programme.
Accommodation
International students studying at University College Birmingham for the first time will be offered accommodation in halls of residence if:
UCAS and the University have received your firm acceptance of an unconditional offer at University College Birmingham.
Your £4,500 tuition deposit is paid.
The accommodation manager receives your completed Residency Agreement, Deposit and Pre-Payment by the offer date.
You are unaccompanied (i.e. you do not bring any dependents, such as a partner and/or a child) unless agreed in advance by the University.
Erasmus
Any student who applies for accommodation whilst attending an Erasmus+ programme has the choice of Semester (21 week) or Year (42 week) contract depending on how long they wish to study at UCB.
All Erasmus accommodation applications will be allocated in July, as long as you have received a full acceptance to the course. Any application request that is received after July cannot be guaranteed accommodation.
